DAVE KUSWORTH & LOS TUPPER "THROWING ROCKS IN HEAVEN" NEW CD JUST RELEASED!!

Dave Kusworth is one of the best hidden gems of rock & roll. With a long career on his back (Jacobites, Bounty Hunters, Tenderhooks, Dogs D'Amour) and a bunch of amazing solo albums, "the Birmingham kid" is still on the road. Recorded entirely during his last tours in Spain with the support of his good friends Los Tupper. You'll find a tasteful manifest along the grooves of "Throwing Rocks in Heaven". Dave takes out of his pocket (besides a rocket) a collection of songs that travel from idyllic landscapes to the darkest alleys. From the more excited Stones to a heartbroken J.Thunders. Slaps of reality looking artificial paradises, drowning for the last time at the bottom of a bottle. Take care and take a look at the sky because it might rain down rocks.

SONIC TRASH "HEY CHICA!!" CD/VINYL OUT NOW!!

"Hey Chica!!" is the first Sonic Trash album, the new adventure of David Hono after four albums and several years on the road with his former band Ya te Digo.
An impressive declaration of principles with the scent of the 90's best sounds. They remind us to bands like Screaming Trees, Afghan Whigs or Jane's Addiction although not forgetting other classics like the Velvet Underground or the Stooges. The band show us all their cards in "Hey Chica!!" where they mix English and Spanish in the lyrics, creating a varied and homogeneous concept. Sharp-edged riffs, acid lyrics and crazy rythms are their credentials. Soldiers of gaupasa waiting in the trenches. We hope you enjoy it, cabronazos.

Nikki Sudden and Dave Kusworth, or what is the same, the Jacobites, were formed in the early 80's as one of the most special and essential bands that arose from the underground British scene. Sunthunder Records is proud to be part of the small velvet universe contained in this 7", which contains two unreleased songs by Sudden & Kusworth.
On one side we have a tune that Nikki recorded in 2003 with his friend Joey Skidmore and other French artists. "The Otter Song" keeps the intensity of the greatest Sudden moments, with a remarkable John Rivers as engineer/producer for most of the discography by this Birmingham lot.
So what's on the other side? Dave Kusworth's "Apartment to compartment", an early-day classic on the Jacobites set list, a Rock & Roll smack in the purest Rolling Stones' "Exile on Main Street" style Recorded in Spain with Los Tupper, a Spanish support band that fits the Jacobite sound like a glove.
"Love stories failed and consumed in full ashtrays, shattered dreams as the last bottle of Chardonnay crashes against the ground while the light of a new morning comes through the curtains amongst a sweet hangover".

<img src="http://www.sunthunder.net/jacobites.jpg"

GOOD NIKKI SUDDEN TRIBUTE CRITICS ON POPULAR 1 AND ROCK'N REEL MAGAZINES

"Little more than a year after the lamentable passing of this most inspirational, influential troubadour comes this tribute to the one time Swell Map and Jacobite. Widely ignored in his homeland, Sudden released records combining his love of T-Rex, Johnny Thunders and Stones-y balladeering largely on small independents, including the then tiny Creation, whilst setting in various European residences like an itinerant court of old, unwittingly influencing now-huge artists like REM and WILCO.
The Secretly Canadian label had been releasing superb reissues of his 80s work and his collection should help further his name and rich tapestry of legacies. Endorsey by his parents and featuring Jacobite partner Dave Kusworth's renovation of "Big Store", as well as Barracuda front man Jeremy Gluck's sensitive reading of "Silver street" for the finale, this is as respectful as you can get. Though staying true the originals, all twenty-one tracks are worthy hattipping, crushed velvet tributes and Nikki himself appears on Joey Skidmore's "Pistol in my pocket" and French rocker Freddy Lynxx's jam on "Bye Bye Johnny".
However predictable his demise may have been said to have been, in some quarters, it's still untimely at age fifty for such a productive artist, who really did embody the old romantic image of wandering minstrel in his songs full of brocade, silk scarves, heartbreak and stately grandeur - that these versions fully testify to." Stu Gibson, R'n'Reel Mag.

"Very few personalities deserved a tribute as much as the late Nikki Sudden. Incombustible man, half rocker, half troubadour, he was with his guitar there where it was required living like a true r'n'r gypsy, composing dozens of beautiful songs gifted with that melancholic mood provided by his nasal voice, that many people hate but we do adore. With Dave Kusworth and their band named Jacobites, they released one of the best albums ever, the painful "Robespierre's Velvet Basement" in 1985. People from Sunthunder Records now release "Suddenly yours", one of the best tribute albums I remember. It is obvious that they have done it with enormous affection and enthusiasm, you just have to take a look at the carefully done layout and the right selection of songs that review all his career. Highlighting from the 21 tracks in the cd: "Last bandit" by Johan Asherton, "Broken tooth" by Los Tupper, "When angels die" by Elliott Murphy, "Bye bye Johnny", this one of the many songs that great french guitarist Freddy Lynxx (known for his Johnny Thunders fanaticism) recorded with Sudden during his life, "Pistol in my pocket" by Joey Skidmore, written and sang with Sudden too, or the incendiary revision of "Big store" by Dave Kusworth, where guitars just simply are on fire." Charly'90, Popular 1.
